Have to admit I started the season all for given Slaven the benefit of the doubt, hoping he could improve us on last year.

I thought with no europa league we'd have better pre season preparation and be much fitter than this time last season.

I thought with his top targets being bought in, all upgrades on who they replaced, we'd have better shape with players playing in their right positions.

I hoped we'd have a bit more tactical nouse and cut out the constant mistakes which gave every team we played a huge chance to get 3 points against us last season.

It's early days of course but; we look just as fit as we did this time last season (which wasn't very fit at all!), we look all over the place on the pitch unable to do the basics with and with out the ball, and we are still gifting teams games through lackadaisical marking and sheer lack of concentration.

Can't account for players losing their heads and getting sent off of course but I see no improvement on last season so far - it's not even about the players at his disposal, any coach worth half his salt should be able to get this squad mid table minimum. Fingers crossed he can but it don't look good.

Maybe this will be like the Spurs loss in '07 Great Escape.

Heart-breaking but showed some teeth with beatable opposition to follow.

(We lost 4-0 in the game before that one as well.)

As always, I live in hope.

His choice of players, his (lack of) tactics, motivation, discipline and professionalism.
The team are are unfit too and are a shambles which is all his fault!

I'm not a great Bilic fan, but you can't blame him for yesterday.

He didn't make Fonte give 2 goals away (OK, he selected him, which I wouldn't have but the stupid cunt should be better than that), and he didn't make that Austrian fuckwit act the cunt either.

As a team we don't meld together at all. As said we rely on individual bits of skill.
We still have a team that lacks pace and energy ... which was identified at the end of last season. And about which we have done nothing.

You can probably compare us to a team like Watford who finished last season as a frustrated dribbling mess at war with their manager and in disarray.
Marco Silva has come in and added the pace and enthusiasm they needed in a matter of weeks and they look back on track.

Us? We are bumping along looking no better with at least 3 or 4 players (AT LEAST) who should never play for us again.

1. Our squad is not great - four signings for the first team replacing the 6/7 that have left means our squad is actually weaker than it was

2. We do not have loads of players who can create something out of nothing.

What have these BERK wankers done to people? Folk genuinely believe their spin and bullshit don't they? Idiots.

How long before we switch to 3-4-2-1 and get ginger back in the side?

We picked up 25 points from 48 when we went 3 at the back last season and actually have a goal scorer up front this time around.

When Gabbidini scored he was covering the ground twice as fast as Noble. I would also like to know why the taking out of Hernandez by Tadic never got a mention.

We've got a load of good players that can create something out of nothing, but as a team we're not playing well.

we don't

Re: ⚽ Southampton v West Ham - The Official Match Thread FT 3-2
We are relying on the individual brilliance of a few players rather than the coaching abilities of our manager. That's the problem.

Antonio driving run is something you can't coach, he just has it. Coupled with class finishing from Hernandez and it made the game look redeemable. But that just covers over the real problems.

We lose because of fundamental things like positioning. Or losing the ball in bad areas of the pitch for no reason at all. It's like we have the best team we have and the worst coaching all in one.

We don't have a squad good enough to be able to drop players who make mistakes as a punishment. So he needs to find another way. And right now, as a club we make far too many basic errors.

It seems that we claw games back because individuals suddenly decide they "want" it. Which is annoying because why can't you want It when it's 0-0 ?

Ther is no way we don't have a good team now. We have just as good a squad as anyone below the top 6/7. What we need is a coach to match. Bilic really isn't it.

People can blame who they choose about how we lost in the dying seconds.
I blame Arnautovic.if he hadn't of got sent off it could easily have gone our way.
He's now out for our next three games, the fucking prick.

How did the ref not see the elbow Arnautovic took, the ref was 5 yards from him, looking right at it. The Southampton fella should have seen red for an elbow before Arnautovic's moment of madness.

Nobles was more of a penalty last week.
But that was just a clumsy challenge apparently. Maybe people have their claret and blue specs on because we don't get them at the other end.

That's what I said on the way out. Zabaleta has to realise he is not at City any more.

It's really difficult to win any game when you're carrying 2-3 players every week, problem is the Manager just doesn't see how ineffective those same players are.
